Gluten Free Avocado Toast

Avocado Toast
Equipment
- 1 medium sized bowl
- 1 sturdy metal fork or masher
- 1 plate to serve
Ingredients
- 2 small avocados
- 1 small red onion finely chopped
- 1 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp granulated garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper leave out if you prefer a non-spicy version
- 1 loaf of gluten free bread we use Schär baguettes
Instructions
- Carefully cut and scoop avocado into a medium sized bowl.
- Add in onion, olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, & cayenne pepper.
- With your fork or masher, gently mash all of the ingredients together until it all the ingredients are thoroughly mixed into the avocado. The avocado should be mushed until it is a paste, but our favorite is to leave it with some chunks for the extra bite.
- Set aside your bowl of the avocado mixture and toast your bread.
- Spread your avocado mixture on top of your toasted bread and serve.
